Nicky Litchfield

As a child Wiltshire born Nicky, spent many happy weekends and summers at her grandparent's farm in Marlborough and it was there that her love of the natural world, in particular its wildlife, began.

Traditional subject matter such as hares, foxes and livestock are at the heart of her paintings, which she creates using a variety of mediums. With a playful use of line and colour she produces delightful, contemporary artworks full of character, humour and charm.

Nicky has exhibited far and wide and over the years has won many awards. Her artwork has been regularly selected for inclusion in the Annual Pastel Society Exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London. She has been featured in several publications including the Pastel Journal, a highly respected US publication devoted entirely to the medium of pastel. Since winning the Society for all Artists, Artist of the Year, Animal Category in 2008 Nicky's work has become much in demand.

Nicky paints from her studio in the picturesque village of Hurst Green in the Ribble Valley. She can often be found out and about sketching with her companion Max the dog by her side.
